Unfortunately, one of the commercial refrigerators we use to store food for our community food pantry service has broken down. While we still have the cold storage we need, our capacity is greatly reduced. With your donation, we can continue to provide Tucson with the food it needs!

We are pleased to have received this grant to be able to update the Shelter Kitchen. We have been looking to do so for many years and this will be a welcomed addition to the improvements we have made to the facility we use. This was the Convent used by Sacred Heart Church as well as a Vietnamese refugee house in the 70s and a safe haven for abused foster kids. St. Francis Shelter Community is proud to be part of this facility that has a rich history in service and proud to be good stewards in it's upkeep.
"No Address" Movie Premier
On February 27th, 2025, St. Francis Shelter Community had the opportunity to host a Red Carpet Premiere for the movie "No Address". The exciting event was well attended and sold out 2 auditoriums at Park Place Cinema. The evening was a huge success! We hope it was impactful for those in attendance and encourage you to stream the movie now, at home, if you did not catch it in the theater.
🌟 Volunteers Needed for Soup Patrol! 🌟
St. Francis Shelter Community’s Soup Patrol is continuing through March 14, and we need volunteers to help serve warm meals, hot cocoa, and kindness to our unhoused and food-insecure neighbors.
What You’ll Do:
✔ Serve soup, hot drinks, and other essentials
✔ Engage in meaningful face-to-face interactions
✔ Make a direct impact in our community

Individuals or groups willing to lend a hand! Whether you're a student, a community group, or just someone who wants to help, we'd love to have you.

We are thrilled to announce that St. Francis Shelter Community has been selected by Robert Craig Films to host a Red-Carpet Premiere event for the film No Address!
This special event will take place at Cinemark Century Park Place 20 on Thursday, February 27th, 2025. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the film will start promptly at 7pm with no advertisements before the showing.
No Address is a powerful film that sheds light on homelessness and its impact, showing how it can affect anyone at any time. This is an incredible opportunity to bring awareness to the issue and to support those experiencing homelessness.
We invite you to join us on the red carpet for this unforgettable evening. Tickets can be purchased through clicking the link below or scanning the QR code. All proceeds will benefit the Saint Francis Shelter Community.
As part of Robert Craig Films’ Big 5 Giveback initiative, they have committed to donating 50% of all profits from the movie, the documentary, the soundtrack, book sales, and the study guide. This initiative will not only support the Saint Francis Shelter Community; but, it also supports hundreds of other non-profits across the country dedicated to addressing the homeless crisis in America.

As they say, all good things must come to an end. Anna's Abundant Blessings has been part of our Wednesdays for well over a year. Coming several Wednesdays a month to pass out free food to those living on the streets. Anna has decided to move closer to her grand babies. She is determined to find organizations like St. Francis Shelter Community and continue her mission to help feed those living on the streets. While we will miss her, we wish her all the best and hope her grand babies will enjoy getting quality time with this wonderful lady.
St. Francis Shelter Community Announces its 2024 Soup Patrol!
No Address Movie
We are excited to share that St. Francis Shelter Community has partnered with Robert Craig Films to use the power of film to inspire action on behalf of the homeless crisis in our communities through the No Address Movement!
Robert Craig Films is releasing its feature film, "No Address," in theaters February 28, 2025 and will additionally release a documentary, "Americans With No Address," a novelization of the screenplay, an interactive study guide, and a music album that will provide songs for the movie and radio distribution. Robert Craig Films has coined the phrase "The Big 5" to represent The Big 5 productions, and we are so excited to announce that we are a part of the Big 5 GIVEBACK!
The film is studded with Hollywood celebrities, such as William Baldwin, Ashanti, Xander Berkeley, Beverly D'Angelo, Lucas Jade Zumann, Patricia Velasquez, Isabella Ferreira, and Ty Pennington. "No Address" will vividly portray that homelessness could happen to anyone.

Our youngest volunteers to date! A huge thanks to Tucson Family Volunteers for bringing and bagging dog food and rice! Tucson Family Volunteers cultivates the desire to volunteer in young adults. It was great to have them with us on Pantry day to see the good their donation of dog food and rice, bagged for our pantry patrons who need pet food (and rice for them). They bagged over 100 bags of dog food and 50 bags of rice!! Maybe one day we'll see them as adults offering to volunteer for one of our many volunteer opportunities.

Our mission at St. Francis Shelter is to bring homeless men together to live in community and, assisted by volunteers, to offer a variety of services to those in need in the local Tucson area.
